La Dama
A magic apartment inside a "modernist" (Catalan Art nouveau) building are two attractive enough claims to choose to reserve a table for dinner on December 31st at the La Dama brasserie-cocktail bar. Another reason is its special menu for the night of San Silvestre: Gillardeau oysters nº3 natural, with mignonette and lemon; Cream of artichoke and foie gras, Egg à la coke with beluga caviar and Tail of national lobster with mashed fennel, yuzu and bisque; Apple sorbet with 'calvados' before the Wellington beef tenderloin, and to finish Berries strudel and vanilla mousse and Black chocolate truffles. Café Kafka
At Café Kafka, a restaurant and cocktail bar with a chic and informal atmosphere, between a New York cosmopolitan restaurant and a Saint Germain bistro, you can also dine before eating the grapes. Sharing some Fine de Claire nº3 oysters, Russian imperial crab legs, Foie mi-cuit bonbon with caramelized apple, a duck cannelloni with cucumber, mint and peanuts, a tiradito of corvina, lime, orange, yellow pepper and pitahaya and a Tartar cracker with marinated salmon. Then, the Café de Paris style sirloin steak and the Supreme of wild corvina in suquet de salvia, with mini vegetables and chickweed. For dessert, Tarte Tatin and chocolate 'Suspiros' and 'Neulas'. Dos Torres
Carlos Cases, chef of Dos Torres, a restaurant with a beautiful garden that occupies a 'modernist' (Catalan Art Nouveau) villa, to farewell this year 2017 and welcome the 2018, has created a menu consisting of: 'de Bellota' ham with croutons, Tatin de foie and apple with vanilla oil from Tahiti, Balfegó Tuna Tartar with ginger and wasabi mayonnaise, Cannelloni with lobster and txangurro with yuzu mayonnaise and pickled vegetables and mushrooms, a transition of citrus sorbet, and then Sirloin steak with grilled foie gras and roasted eggplant with potato strudel truffle and Priorat wine sauce, and Apple Tatin with cheesecake ice cream. As for the winery, they have selected the labels Ángeles de Amaren (D. O. Ca. La Rioja), José Pariente Sauvignon Blanc (D. O. Rueda) and AT Roca Brut (D. O. Cava). L'escale
For New Year's Eve L'Escale proposes a menu that, headed by a glass of champagne, includes great examples of the miscegenation that is practiced in the kitchen of this bistro wiht bohemian atmosphere. Celery and vanilla foam with artichoke chips; Foie gras with date purée, crispy cinnamon, toasted bread and coffee; Soft shell crab with tarragon and yuzu foam, wakame seaweed chips and salmon egg; Red mullet with fermented carrot with beetroot, swede, shiso and mint; Magret of wild duck with roasted tupinambo with black garlic, confit shallot, turnip tops, meat juice with Porto wine and currant; Exotic surprise with dill and cocoa crumble and Black olives with creamy tonka bean and orange gel. Iluzione
Iluzione completes the offer of the luxury concept store Luzio in a multilevel space that begins in a terrace at street level similar to a greenhouse. For the last night of 2017, the chef Stefano Gallo offers to chop salt foie gras with aromas of vanilla and assorted Italian sausages, Parmesan and Sicilian green olives, the starters Cream of cauliflower with black truffle and scallops and Carpaccio of prawns and monkfish with parmentier and smoked paprika mayonnaise, tuna tataki with olive tapenade and sautéed radiccio and white veal tenderloin with polenta and mushrooms as main courses, the creamy pre-dessert of passion fruit with coconut, white chocolate and lime, and a Mousse de Mon Cherie chocolate with crispy hazelnut and vanilla sauce to put the cherry. Shôko
Shôko is a restaurant and lounge club with a sophisticated and international atmosphere, ideal to receive the new year on the beach. The Gala Dinner Show goes from VIP tables for groups whit prices between € 600 and € 5,000, dress code "dress to impress", reception by geishas, and, to choose, the Gala Dinner (€ 250) or Cocktail Dinner ( € 145, with open bar from Moët & Chandon). The first option seduce us with words such as Spicy Blue (bluefin tuna tartar, crunchy quinoa, avocado and beet emulsion), El Rey del Mar (lobster, avocado, tomato in jasmine osmosis, pomegranate air) and Ribera flights (pigeon of the Ebro in textures, parsnip glazed with mandarin, chestnuts and hoisin sauce). The second, among others delicious dishes, with Carpier smoked salmon, the selection of foie mi-cuit lollipops with lyophilized raspberries, pistachios and jams, a large glass of sushi moriawase, show cooking of steamed gyozas, red shrimp from Huelva in tempura and a Quail bonbon in tonkatsu sauce.
