Yayoi Kusama / Louis Vuitton

In the last edition of B-Guided we already mentioned Marc Jacobs’ obsession with the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Over the years her influence on Jacobs, the well known dot compositions, have been featured in his own collections as well as the ones he produced for Louis Vuitton in Paris. 


  • This intense symbiosis has culminated with the creation of a new and amusing perfume called “Dot” as well as a Kusama and Vuitton capsule collection, which has been an unqualified success since its first edition. As well as the ingenuity of the collection the extraordinary artistic “shop-window installations” are equally noteworthy and which have caused a great fuss around the world wherever there are Vuitton shops.


  • The second part of this collaboration has just been presented. Comprising a complete collection with clothes and accessories where the classic bags of the emblematic label have been reinvented thanks to the coloured dots printed over the famous LV monogrammed fabric, an unusual and highly Pop combination. In fact the 60s is one of this season’s most marked tendencies.
