Valentina Assoluto

By Jaume Vidiella 13.11.12

The reinvention of the world renowned Italian firm Valentino has been a triumph in every aspect. The collections directed by the design duo Chiuri & Piccioli that range from the elite collections (haute couture and prêt-à-porter as well as spectacular accessories for women) have now been added to the renewed men’s collections, the summer collection 2013 was one of the best on the Milan catwalk this year together with their excursions into the profitable world of perfume, in which the label never really had a clear art direction, until it got together with the Catalan firm Puig, launching the 'Valentina' fragrance last year.

This aroma represents a new spirit for the firm:  aristocratic, ultra feminine and somewhat fragile, but also with a rebellious touch, modern, you could say even sexy. An ideal personified by the unconventional Danish model Freja Beha who also fronts the second version of the fragrance: Valentina Assoluto, more intense and nocturnal with cedar notes, patchouli and oak musk. The packaging is equally beautiful, decorated with an oversized delicately coloured metal flower.
