Fashion, art, culture, design and much more

19.04.18

Laagam, Barcelona fashion firm founded by Inés Arroyo, has recently opened The House of Laagam, a multifunctional space and boutique that will gather the latest trends in fashion, culture, art and design.

Located in Barcelona's iconic Passatge Marimon, a few meters from Avenida Diagonal, it has an area of 200 m2 dedicated to sales, but also has a showroom, a workshop, a private area for the team and a spectacular terrace of 50 m2 open to the public. An ideal place as a work space or for meetings of leisure or afterwork, perfect to get lost in this small oasis away from the rush and bustle of the city.

At The House of laagam, clients will find all the references that the firm has on its website. But the space has born with the ambition of being a collaborative environment in which, for example, other firms can expose their designs in a format of temporary pop ups. And where activities and events will also be organized around various topics that concern the brand and are part of Laagam philosophy, such as the empowerment of women, sustainable fashion, the visibility of local artists and designers, or solidarity projects such as the one that the firm has launched with The South Face, to promote university education among young girls in Kenya.

The House of Laagam represents a milestone for the young brand that was born as a digital company and that in just one year already has its own first establishment. With a community of more than 346,000 followers on Instagram, Inés Arroyo decided to make the leap to the fashion industry and in October 2016 created Laagam, a firm that produce affordable luxury fashion made in Barcelona.

Laagam advocate for artisanal production of proximity under demand, a careful timeless design and for luxury quality at an affordable price. Their philosophy is to offer basic and iconic pieces that will last for years, fighting against the current fast fashion of using and throwing that forces the clothes to expire before having enjoyed them.
