Moritz Feed Dog
The fashion documentary film festival celebrates its 3 edition
Moritz Feed Dog first started back in 2015 offering a programme of documentary format and author’s work with fashion as the main theme, from the point of view of fashion as a cultural expression. Organised by Inèdit Produccions (also responsible for Beefeater In-Edit), with Charo Mora in charge of the artistic direction. The schedule of events includes conferences, talks, round-table discussions and Q&A with directors, stars and experts.
The title chosen for the opening of the festival, which will be presented on this occasion only at the Aribau Multicines (Aribau, 5 08011 Barcelona), will be Franca: Chaos & Creation. The documentary, directed by Francesco Carrozzini, is a tribute to the transgressor spirit of his mother: Franca Sozzani, recently deceased, editor in chief of Vogue Italia for three decades and one of the most influential voices of fashion. Famous for her front covers, the film reviews her most committed, rebellious and controversial creations, and provides an intimate look at the creative process.

It will be followed by, amongst others, a second premier, Dries (the designer Dries Van Noten, one of the “Antwerp six”, allows himself to be followed by a documentary film crew recording the creative process behind the catwalk show number 100 at the Paris Fashion Week); Suited (looking at the day-to-day of Binder & Keep, a Brooklyn based tailors that makes unique pieces for queer and transgender clientele); The incomparable Rose Hartman, known for her photographs of Studio 54 and the fashion world and social scene of New York (both she and first time director Otis Mass, will take part in a Q&A after the screening); The First Monday in May de Andrew Rossi (sobre la gala del Met que organiza Anna Wintour); Peter Lindbergh: The eye; Out of Fashion (On the journey of a garment, from cotton plantations in South America, through Bangladesh and Tallinn, to the most exclusive catwalks in Europe. A very critical look at the less transparent aspect of the sector).

This Mortiz Feed Dog will also present a section dedicated to mythical pieces from the history of fashion. Kicking off with the short film The 501 Jean: Stories of an Original by Tracey Panek, the viewer gets to appreciate the social, cultural and historical impact of the most iconic of the Levi’s label garments; the 501 by listen to the maker.
