The sixth generation of the Vendrell family, owners of the 175 year old Barcelona based jewelry store Unión Suiza, are the founders and promoters of Misui, a brand of jewelry and accessories with an international presence that puts the emphasis on fine detail, craft, local design and talent as an expression of contemporary luxury.

The luxury, in this case is found in the details and the honest approach to the materials as well as the superior manufacturing standards. Misui products are an expression of contemporary sensibility, but which respect a long tradition of fine jewelry illustrated by their collaboration with respected jewelry designers such as Atelier Tom Munsteiner. The pieces emphasize the importance of the precious metals and stones, as well as incorporating references to their origins, underlined by the use of fair trade Fairmined gold. The jewelry is designed timeless fashion, to be lasting and therefore to mark those unique moments in our lives that should be remembered.

Misui’s main store is located on the corner of Diagonal Ave., near Passeig de Gràcia, in an early 20th Century building, designed by architect Enric Sangier i Villavecchia. A carefully restored modernisme style residence which has restored frescos, polychromes, original marquetry and parquet floor, interior stained glass windows, shutters and sliding wooden doors, as well as a niche with an old chapel and stone chimney. The shop’s interior design and exclusive furniture was designed by Diego Ramos to compliment the building’s modernisme aesthetic with dark wood, mirror, marble and metal surfaces in a minimalist style approach.
