For the 2015/16 Autumn-Winter season Nicolas Ghesquière – Creative Director of Louis Vuitton Women’s Wear Collections has come up with an approach that mixes different styles in a flattering and feminine wardrobe with highly contemporary though practical garments.
A collection that reflects the desire for comfort through its light and comfortable elastic textiles defined by a silhouette that frames an assembly of contrasting materials. Quality and luxurious fabrics that have been reinterpreted ingeniously lending the garments a modern, rock and youthful aspect.
This season women’s wear borrows masculine cuts through its sober tailored suits, while also redefining feminine archetypes such as the lingerie dresses in a decidedly modern interpretation. The knitwear made using innovative techniques incorporates graphic elements that accentuate a more active and athletic silhouette. Fur also plays a key role expressed through new volumes in its definition of the silhouette.
