Last Thursday we had the pleasure of attending the opening of Fragments of a story: 168 years of Loewe, the travelling exhibition featuring Loewe’s products began back in February in Hong Kong and is now in Barcelona till the end of March (Loewe Gallery) it then travels to Madrid, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo, among other cities. An exquisite look at the firm’s milestones from 1846 to the present.

The exhibition pays homage to the craftsmanship and luxury so characteristic of the Spanish brand within a dynamic labyrinthine space covered in mirrors and images from Dutch photographers Scheltens and Sbbenes.

  •

The exhibition is divided into three areas: bags, iconic models from different eras in different leathers like python, crocodile and calfskin; silk, the iconic printed silk scarves featuring butterflies, flowers and other typically Spanish motifs like the ball gowns and finally images of their iconic advertising campaigns and brand logos.

A unique opportunity to learn about the beginnings of this iconic Spanish brand which since 168 years ago has been creating a luxurious and exclusive world for dreamers through artisan hands.
