At this time of increasing homogeneity in the fashion world when the ubiquitous high street labels are dominating the scene Bordar & Co provides an alternative for the bridal and evening wear sector predicated on the creation of unique and custom made garments and accessories using embroidered panels and fabrics. A key principle behind the service offered by Bordar & Co is the personalised attention, as well as the ‘hand made’ service their workshops provide a range of embellishments, embroidered panels and other decorative elements that can be fitted to the dresses to create a genuinely one-off look.
Bordar & Co offers both a retail and dress making service, customers can pick and choose from a range of textiles and embroidered products in order to embellish either fashion garments, footwear or other related accessories. These embellishments are produced in workshops located in developing countries around the world with which Bordar & Co collaborates. Countries such as Nepal, Tanzania and India where existing crafts of beading and embroidery are deep rooted. Exclusively based on principles of Fair Trade the collaboration with Borar & Co goes beyond the mere mercantile but is rather focused on a personal relationship in terms of education and sponsorship of the workshop cooperatives. The final garments are then assembled in Spain.

Bordar & Co workshops are located in Madrid and Barcelona, their clients are both national and increasingly international, looking for something special in terms of bridal or cocktail wear while also being conscious of value for money. Prices start from 3 Euros upwards. A prior appointment is a prerequisite.
