Aristocrazy
F/W 16-17
The high-end jewellery brand making pieces understood as fashion accessories, albeit valuable ones transcending mere fashion trends, was founded in 2010 by the Suarez jeweller family, whose trajectory commenced in 1943. Aristocrazy presents its latest creations, the Winter 16-17 collection designed by New Yorker Adam Katz Sinding (Le 21ème), renowned for his particular take on current street style, and who also photographed the new advertising campaign (the seventh, launched world wide).

The Trendy sub-category, inspired by both catwalk and street, includes three different collections. One of which is Confetti, a cheerful and colourful collection of small gemstones like London Blue topaz, amethysts and citrine quartz, arranged in bracelets, earrings, rings and pendants, on sterling silver coated in 18 carat yellow gold. Another is Nimes, whose pieces are worked in rhodium-plated sterling silver and sterling silver plated in 10-carat yellow gold. The smooth finish provides the distinctive Aristocrazy sheen, the scalloping detail evokes a sense of movement in simple yet elegant designs that recall the frayed seams of distressed denim. And finally Metrie, which includes prisms, straight lines and curves all mixed up together, like a sort of sophisticated geometric puzzle. A contrast that is based on its luscious forms, but also the materials: 18 carat pink gold covered with pavé of black spinels that evoke the reflections of the ubiquitous mirror balls of 1980s nightclubs.

Alternatively there’s the Essentials category with its more classic, yet adaptable designs and emblematic pieces so typical of the firm. With Fun regularly updated motifs that define a more lucid collection can be combined with each other in a thousand different ways, such as the clover and the horseshoe, which are traditionally associated with good luck charms. Last but not least Diamonds, the high-end jewellery made using 18-carat white gold and diamonds selected one by one by in-house gemologists to meet their standards of quality in cut, weight, colour and purity.
