Yummy Sundays at GLASSS, Monument Hotel
Berasategui’s Sunday Brunch
Yummy Sundays is a new once a month Sunday Brunch menu that will be taking place this coming Sunday, October 21st (the next one will be happening on the 18th of November). Served within the surroundings of the newly opened roof terrace of the Monument Hotel, the spectacular GLASSS, the culinary offering is created by Martín Berasategui who oversees the entire gastronomy at the Monument Hotel. With elevated views over the city (and the internal courtyard of this historic city block), a D.J. and an extraordinary variety of food Yummy Sundays true to its name is the perfect setting for a laid back and delicious leisurely weekend brunch.
Berasategui has conceived a carefully balanced brunch menu to include a wide variety of savoury and sweet options, from juices to home-made breads, classic breakfast options and more contemporary fare. Healthy and tempting in equal measure.

The menu, costing 59 Eur. per person, features a bar of starters with different types of breads, pizzas, focaccia and savoury tarts that will give way to a cold buffet where the diner will find a varied selection of Italian sausages and pickles, cheeses and jams, carpaccios and several salad options like the octopus and potatoes; salmon marinated with kale and guacamole; Quinoa with spinach, apples and pumpkin seeds or smoked mozzarella with marinated mushrooms. To continue, as a main course diners can choose from freshly prepared options such as roast beef with Ratte potato and mustard sauce; poached egg with homemade bread, pastrami and buds; tagliatelle al nero sautéed with shrimp, tomato and courgette; or sea urchin risotto with asparagus and scallop. There is also a great variety of recipes and products from the Basque Country and Italian cuisine such as coca bread with pepper and anchovies and Coca Burguer, a Martin Berasategui classic consisting of a hamburger served on open bread, or the traditional Vitello Tonnato, a typical dish of the Italian Piedmont region.
