Barcelona's 1st pop-up restaurant
Barcelona’s first pop-up restaurant offers Km 0 BBQ. During the month of March We Pop! will be installed at The Secret Room hairdressing salon, hidden on a cul-de-sac laneway between Gran Via and Diputació.
The concept? American BBQ with local produce supplied by CreOlé: sandwich and ‘pulled pork’ tacos (shredded pork), ribs (pork) and barbequed chicken in Caesar salad. All with side dishes: coleslaw, hummus, guacamole, ‘pico de gallo’ or chips. Desserts provided by Crustó (carrot cake, brownie and cheesecake). Moritz beer and Casa Mariol wines to choose from, vermouth from the same winery served on Sundays. Tasting Menu specially for the indecisive that features three of the main dishes on the menu.
And to finish off the experience there is a programme of DJs and depending on the day cocktails prepared by Miguel Ángel Palau (who earned his stripes at La Martinera and 41º), flea market, manicures and haircuts in vintage barber chairs. The Secret Room is undoubtedly one of Barcelona’s more interesting salons: on Thursday after-work sessions organised around their bar counter: serving cocktails with creative tapas, tasting sessions, exhibitions and for customers who become attached to the reflection the mirrors are also on sale.
Reservations: only Monday to Saturday at 9 PM, and Sunday at 1 PM, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays nights (9 PM till 12 PM), and Sundays for vermouth and more (1 PM till 5 PM). 20 €.
