There’s no getting away from the fact that Barcelona’s physical setting is a privileged one, sandwiched between the Mediterranean and the Serra de Collserola mountain range; an elevated view of the metropolis clearly reveals the urban growth of the city over the centuries and the natural landscape that created the port and contains the urban sprawl. Some of the best vantage points are provided by buildings and structures that in recent years have been taken over by savvy restaurateurs who have figured out that this living portrait is probably the optimum backdrop for enjoying Barcelona’s gastronomic tradition from which it is sustained. We present a selection of some of our favourite places to eat in Barcelona and from where to observe the ever changing panorama of city life from the best viewing points, truly unique places where we can also recommend the culinary offering.
