Published by Beta editorial as part of their series Foodies Friends collection the second instalment, guide books where the protagonists are the chefs and their creations. In Tapeo Daniel Rueda shares some of his most emblematic recipes and pays homage to the "tapear" ritual. The book is hardcover in easy-to-use format, with texts and recipes in Spanish and English, and has a practical elastic band to mark the page.
The book examines the origins of the tapa from historical legends to the twentieth century, as a quick response to stave off being peckish. For Daniel Rueda, creator of the Tapeo restaurant, “it’s a way to share, not only food, but also conversation and friendship.” His tapas recipes are the result of his restaurant experience and the fusion of concepts, with contemporary flourishes reflecting what’s popular currently expressed through honest and traditional cuisine, without forgetting about the genuine meaning of the "tapa" in its strictest origin. The book includes a total of ten infallible tapas recipes for impressing guests.
