Sushifresh, to to

The Japanese cuisine experience at home

By Brian Gallagher 11.04.19

Sushifresh is a food delivery service bringing the authentic taste of Japanese sushi to Barcelona homes, based on Millennial-old techniques and the freshest of raw produce. The relationship between quality and value for money is finely balanced at Sushifresh which is undoubtedly the reason why with more than 7,000 orders monthly it is Barcelona’s favourite Japanese delivery service and one of the most reliable. The company is underpinned by a coherent philosophy that covers all aspects of its operation with its own fleet of delivery vehicles and personnel, sourcing of sustainable suppliers, recyclable packaging and dignified working conditions.

At the heart of Sushifresh is the fish, cut and frozen on arrival at the company kitchen (in accordance with EU legislation), and the chefs whose experience and sensibility for the authentic Japanese flavours is translated into the dishes. The secret to quality is in the freshness, the name Sushifresh is the guarantee that all orders are made fresh using produce that is prepared as customers require sourced from certified suppliers. Everything is traceable and caught in an age-appropriate manner using fish renewable stocks, without damage to the seabed.

Founded by Sara Serantes a local entrepreneur as well as a young mother with three kids, whose ambition to create a home delivery business was first conceived in 2011 and nowadays employs over 80 workers. Originally there was no physical restaurant (today there are two) so the company web is effectively the customer interface. Nowadays we can talk about the architecture of a web site, in much the same way as the architecture of bricks and mortar. Whether an online site is easy to navigate, responsive and intuitive, as well as being attractive and informative. When it comes to ordering food for delivery through Sushifresh the process is simple and straightforward, ensuring that from the first click on the computer or touch of the mobile phone to the ring at the door the food arrives fresh and flavourful, hassle free.
