For anyone with a food intolerance who wants to lead a normal social life, including going out to eat with friends, but who also wants to be completely sure that the place they choose to dine is perfectly safe, it helps that the owner also has the same food intolerance. Millán Vázquez the owner of Messié sin Gluten Eixample is a coeliac; he was a regular client of the first Messié sin Gluten to open in the Gràcia area and liked it so much he decided to bring the concept to the Eixample.

Located at C/ Muntaner, 109 (between Mallorca and Provenza) this is the first franchise belonging to the group, a restaurant-pizzeria that aims to widen the gastronomic offering in Barcelona for all coeliacs who have problems finding a safe place to eat where they can share with friends and family. Owner Millán Vázquez, who previously had no background in the world of restaurants, saw an opportunity of bringing the idea to a completely different area of the city. This is a 100% gluten-free restaurant, where cross-contamination is impossible, with an uninterrupted kitchen service from 12 noon to 11:30 pm which covers everything from appetizers to lunch, snacks and dinners.

    The restaurant interior is spacious and welcoming, with the typical tall ceilings of the Eixample neighbourhood. The kitchen is open plan, located at the rear of the space where customers can see how the dishes are meticulously prepared using fresh produce. The culinary offering is wide ranging with options for "not celiacs" that will appeal to both adults and children who are "intolerant to gluten" and who want to share with friends and family as well as lactose and vegan dishes. The homemade cakes are also gluten free, and are guaranteed to surprise. Messie sin Gluten Eixample es the first restaurant 100% sin gluten free certified by Glovo, the hoem delivery service. As well as being vouched for the by Catalan Association of Coeliacs.
