Barcelona’s ‘Semana de la Terrazas’ gathers force yearly, this time around there will be more than 60 participants. Many of the city’s hotels have spectacular roof top terraces with panoramic views over the city, the Mediterranean and the surrounding hills. From April 1st through till late October Barcelona’s Grand Hotel Central terrace will be open in operation with views overlooking the neighbouring Borne and the city skyline. The Sky Bar offers unique views, a generous sun terrace, spectacular chillout bar and an infinity pool that has been featured on the cover of the most prestigious travel magazines and books.
‘Noches de bandeja’ (or ‘Tray Nights’) is a new addition this year to the dining options at the Sky Bar, meant to be enjoyed in company over summer nights with the sea breeze wafting across the roof-top terrace. Consisting of a "bento box" inspired by Mediterranean cuisine with a selection of tapas and dishes for two. This new "gastroconcept" (available to both the general public and hotel guests) includes options like; Parmesan lollipops, strawberry gazpacho, seasonal variety tomato salad with fresh basil, tortilla chips, coca-ciabatta with tomato, roast croquettes, deluxe sandwich with truffle and mozzarella and to finish for dessert, creamed cheese with red fruits. Served on a tray for 34 Euros (for two).

At night the emphasis is on the drinks. From the best classic cocktails like Sex on the Beach, Mojitos and Daiquiris to the more original Cocomber Cooler, Crazy Bahama Mama or the very trendy Gin & Tonics with a great musical selection put together by Barcelona Sounds.
