Although not specifically a burger restaurant people in the know talk lovingly about the selection of burgers served at Sandwich & Friends, the emblematic Barcelona chain of restaurants that broke new ground when first opened more than ten years ago. As well as the exceptional interior design of its five component parts internationally renowned Spanish chefs have been commissioned to create the various burgers found on the menu using veal and beef, such as Vicente; a classic beef burger served on focaccia with lettuce, tomato, bacon and cheddar cheese. Sourced from Ireland the beef is mixed with spices and prepared to order. Mini-burgers with a selection of sauces also featured. As with the sandwiches the burgers are also christened using friends’ names adding to the sense of being in comfortable as well as chic surroundings.
