San Telmo Eixample
Bistro style cuisine
Café San Telmo becomes San Telmo Eixample. The restaurant maintains the same location but is now much bigger inside, extending into the property next door on c/ Casanova (formerly TimesBurg). The corner setting at the intersection with Av. Diagonal with its sunny terrace on the triangular plaza directly in front, is a local favourite since first opening. Although internally the space is radically changed nevertheless San Telmo retains its informal neighbourhood ambience. Similar to a French bistro San Telmo serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as drinks well into the evening.
The menu will be familiar to locals, many of the most popular dishes from the Café San Telmo are still available. However, there are also daily specials as well as new permanent options like the Grilled organic poussin Fez style or the Entrecot sirloin served with café de Paris sauce and potatoes. The menu includes a varies selection of tapas dishes for sharing, including vegetarian and omnivore options. All the restaurants belonging to the San Telmo group have their own special recipes for classic dishes like the Bravas San Telmo and the Chicken wings with spicy Buffalo sauce or homemade barbeque sauce. The mini-dessert options are also new, and worth a trip to San Telmo in their own right.
-
Almost 18 years after its opening, San Telmo is reborn, tripling its area and reinventing its food offering based on mostly grilled dishes, without sacrificing its obvious Mediterranean influences, based on fresh and seasonal products, sourced locally.
