Sunset from Montjuic
Rooftop 173
Observing the afternoon sunset and arrival of dusk from the rooftop of the InterContinental Barcelona is one of the city’s most recent iconic experiences. The entire hotel has been refurbished over the last number of years and its Pop-Up Restaurant, accommodated on the terrace facing MNAC (another faces PobleSec), is without doubt one of the most spine-tingling views of Barcelona. The cuisine is the other reason to visit, a balanced offering of Mediterranean and South American dishes featuring Km0 ingredients, celebrating the best of local summer fare.
Among the highlights are the Palafrugell rice with cuttlefish, shrimp and all i oli mild, the Romescada with monkfish, squid and shrimp or the T-bone T-bone steak 800g, three dishes full of flavor that you will want to repeat. This is one of the restaurants where you have to leave room for dessert, because the apple Tatin and vanilla ice cream or the Cheesecake with red berries, both homemade by the pastry chef.
