Barcelona’s cocktail barman’s cocktail bar, the two charismatic figures behind Boutique Bar are Giuseppe Santamaria and Massimo La Rocca, both are award winning mixologists with international experience on both sides of the Atlantic between them. Every last detail is lovingly deliberated over, the style of glasses the cocktail equipment and other paraphernalia, and reflect their travels around the globe: vintage meets quirky. The cocktail menu consists of 30 distinctive options, incredibly almost all are award winning original recipes invented by these two Italian ex-pats. Cocktail is theatre at Ohla Boutique Bar, each client is engaged from the moment they enter (there is a separate direct access from C. Laietana), if anyone is in any doubt about just how good these guys are just leaf through the comments book placed on the bar counter. With about half their clients consisting of hotel guests (the Boutique Bar is one of Ohla Hotel’s key attractions) and the other half loyal local customers.
