The name of this restaurant is not the only shocking thing about it, the food offering and the location are also surprising. My Fucking Restaurant hits all three targets. The last thing you expect to come across at this location in this part of the Raval, (near the port) is to find a genuine gastronomic restaurant with a fascinating wine menu. There are a few exceptions (Cañete, Suculent, etc.) but generally it’s mostly tourist spots where the food is an afterthought. El chef Matteo Bertozzi brings an Italian flare to the dishes, an authentic and creative cuisine featuring locally sourced ingredients. And a 100% gluten-free menu designed to demonstrate that celiacs and people with allergies can also enjoy tasty, original and surprising cuisine, serving tapas and dishes for sharing.

Located just a few hundred metres off La Rambla on c/ Nou de la Rambla, one of the oldest and most fascinating streets in the Raval, dating from the late 1700s. My Fucking Restaurant features the original stone rubble walls of that time which today accommodate three separate areas within: at the bar counter, right inside the entrance, the lounge area, with natural light during the day and more romantic at night, and the jewel in the crown: the chef's table (a private room with two tables accommodating eight people) with views of the kitchen.

    Seasonal and locally sourced vegetables are the main protagonists on the restaurant's menu, including dishes ranging from Sweet Potato with roasted garlic praliné with coriander chutney (winner of the XChef by Cervezas 1906 Challenge award) or celeriac Tagliatelle, Parmigiano Reggiano Vacca Bruna 46 months foam, garlic chips and parsley chlorophyll, winner of the Parmiggiano Reggiano Festival award.

    The wine list deserves special mention, personally selected by Bertozzi and Mangianti together with the sommelier Valeria di Benedetto, representing a journey through more than 140 natural wines with minimal intervention from all over the world. A selection that perfectly complements the restaurant menu, a sensual surprise and challenge for the palate.
