Mr Porter Steak House, Sir Victor

A new hub for Barcelona’s night life (and day)

By Brian Gallagher 03.06.19

The recently opened Sir Victor Hotel (formerly the Omm Hotel) accommodates Mr Porter, a lively and happening restaurant / club that occupies almost the entire ground floor of the beautifully redecorated hotel on c/ Rosellón (between Paseo de Gracia and Pau Claris). The food here is simple but ingenious and the ambience reflects a city that is not afraid to enjoy itself with good food, good cocktails and good music in a stunning décor – the perfect excuse and place to get together with friends at Barcelona’s beating heart.

Open all day, MR PORTER Barcelona, is a unique specimen of its kind. Transforming from an elegant day environment, to a lively bar & lounge at nightfall, the impasse of food and cocktails is part of their DNA.

The dessert menu includes several surprises that will have anyone with a sweet tooth coming back for more. And after the gastronomy comes the molecular cocktails, a wide ranging offering  with culinary approach, which destroy the traditional barrier between bar and kitchen. An example is the flagship cocktail, SILVER FOX, with celery seed, Ocho tequila, pineapple, lemon and a touch of pink pepper, is the most mischievous option with which to start the glorious Barcelona nights to the rhythm of the best music charge of resident DJs of MR PORTER.

The interior design by BK Architects combines a palette of materials that are exploited to their maximum, leather banquette seating, a red marble bar counter with seating, solid oak cocktail bar, sculptural light installations, metallic curtains and of course the log fired oven.
