Pop-up

The hotel-coworking space The Social Hub Barcelona will host, until 30th October, the Mexicana Rooftop Bar, a concept inspired by the gastronomy of Mexico.

Its terrace with views, located on the 15th floor of the building, will invite you to socialise and enjoy the proposals of Marc Álvarez (Sips Drinkery House, number 1 of The World's 50 Best Bars 2024 list) and Adam Rawson (Chef of the Year 2015 for The Young British Foodies Awards), in charge of the bar and the kitchen, respectively, whose menus have been illustrated by Samuel de Sagas.

  • The cocktail menu includes emblematic drinks from the Central American country in various versions -margaritas, micheladas, sangritas-, cocktails with piquete (with or without alcohol, for example: pineapple, green apple and celery with or without vodka or white tequila), and the Mexico_Barcelona collection, with reinterpreted classic cocktails such as the Medi-Paloma (tequila, rosé vermouth, clarified grapefruit, honey, rosemary salt and caper) and the Toasted Maria (Bloody Mary served with a roasted coffee crust).

  • For nibble, simple dishes, if necessary cooked over a flame of burning charcoal, made with local products, because "sustainability is the ethical core of this project", says the chef. Padrón Peppers with chipotle salt and lemon peel; Guacamole with pico de gallo, red sauce and blue corn tortilla chips; Mexican Ensaladilla with potato, tuna, fresh peas and radicchio; Cobb Avocado Salad with habanero honey, Cabrales cheese, ham and roasted corn; Scallop Aguachile; Raw Red Prawn Tostadas with white asparagus and carabinero oil; Crispy Calamari with yellow lime mayonnaise and seaweed; Fried Chicken with taco sauce; Anticuchos (skewers) of Iberian Pork with white onion and chimichurri.... and to finish, Burnt Cheesecake with almond dulce de leche or Fresh Fruit with house tajine.

  • It's all good and the plan, isn't it?
