Messié sin gluten is a Barcelona restaurant tat proves healthy gluten-free food does not have to compromise on flavour or taste. This is a genuinely unique restaurant located in the Gracia neighbourhood (just off Torrent de l’Olla, on C/ Siracusa). The brainchild of French man Enric Eluthringer resident in Barcelona for many years, his restaurant has been opened for about a year now but already has a very loyal clientele. Eric, who has worked in different types of pizza restaurants for his entire career likes a challenge, so he went about creating a fine crust base which was both crunchy and gluten-free. But Messié sin gluten is not just a pizza restaurant it has a full and varied menu that in reality if you didn’t know was gluten-free you would never guess.
The pizzas, pastas and saladas served here include original dishes based on market fresh ingredients such as the cous cous with cauliflower, spaghetti made with raw courgette , pasta with truffle carbonara sauce and of course the pizzas that include unusual varieties such as the one with sweet potato. There is set-lunch menu with delivery service between Sundays and Thursdays.
Messié Sin Gluten is endorsed by the Associació Celíacs de Catalunya and has the certification of the barred spike, an international symbol.
