The moderate consumption of quality red meat is a healthy pleasure and with increasing demand in Barcelona, well served in certain restaurants such as La Selva brasserie.

This steak house, located in the area of the Hospital de Sant Pau, is a place characterized by exuberant tropical vegetation where you can enter and satisfy the desire to eat meat. The king of this jungle is the female Frisian cattle of more than 10 years, the steaks are left to mature in dry between 30 and 90 days to enhance its flavor and tenderness. The menu also includes other premium breeds and juicy cuts: Galician cow sirloin and Argentinian black angus steak, national wagyu tenderloin, Uruguayan Aberdeen, Argentinian Hereford, as well as a succulent Black Angus Nebraska burger.

    Lamb ribs, handmade butifarra, organic chicken and foie de oca complete the cast of charcoal-grilled pieces, accompanied by fresh salads: from the orchard with pistachios, brie cheese with coffee vinaigrette and pumpkin seeds, or of prawns with mango and strawberry vinaigrette. To accompany the meats, a good Priorat or Montsant or the best Ribera del Duero.

    Options for non-carnivores? They are also taken into account, with products from the sea such as the casserole of mussels and clams, the ceviche of sea bass and shrimp, and salmon, octopus or grilled prawns. And as starters to share, they offer entrees such as rosemary mini potatoes, salmon tartare with roasted pineapple and avocado, cow croquettes and wagyu jerky.
