The two most basic elements of the hamburger are the meat and the bread, at La Burg (Barcelona’s first gourmet burger restaurant first opened in 2008) both these components are taken to extremes; the bread is prepared daily using sourdough and the organic meat is sourced from free roaming range cattle, the lamb is from Pallars, there is a Wagyu beef option as well as a vegetarian burger. The beef is sourced from purebred Alpine grass grazing herds with absolutely no additives, each of the animals is micro-chipped, slaughtered exclusively for La Burg and can be traced back to origin. A total of 13 burgers are included on the menu as well equally excellent side dishes like the home made chips and a variety of salads. The bistro like interior compliments the menu with the focus firmly on the burgers. For Barcelona hamburger connoisseurs.
