That is precisely the premise of the Le Meridien hotel with its latest Gastronomic Experience, a visit to the market to buy ingredients for a lunch and then preparing those ingredients back at the hotel.
The hotel’s executive chef Devis Vici will be accompanying participants both to the market and with their cooking. Devis is a born communicator and has an infectious enthusiasm for both selecting the raw ingredients and cooking them. He is the ideal teacher to explain all the steps involved to preparing a complete lunch menu, from amuse-bouche, to first and second courses and dessert.

After meeting the chef at the hotel first thing in the morning which is located only 111 steps from La Boquería, participants visit the hotel’s main food suppliers there.
The restaurant CentOnze gets its name from its proximity to La Boquería, literally one hundred and eleven steps walk away. The beautiful dining area looks over the Ramblas outside and there’s loads of space to get creative with the food in the breakfast buffet area, which is where the kitchen is accommodated for this gastronomic experience. After preparing the various dishes the participants get to eat their own preparations, with a wine pairing.
