L’Oficina Gastrobar
Speakeasy, corner bar and performance
L’Oficina Gastrobar is a corner bar within the Sagrada Familia neighbourhood that includes two very different offerings in a single entity. Located directly opposite the Jardines del Baix Guinardó this modest but very elegant local bar, hides a secret inside. At the far end of the space there’s a connecting door to a speakeasy with a performance space, decorated to look like an office with a reception area and stage. Here during the evenings diners can combine food, drinks, magic and music with a set-menu and a varying programmes of artists.
This unique combination of food and entertainment is something that is commonly found in other cities around the world but not so much here in Barcelona. There is a diverse programme of entertainment that includes everything frol m lyrical music to magic shows. Every month the programme changes, which can be consulted on the L'Oficina website and on its Social Networks. However, there is also a selection of ‘resident artists’ such as Lyrical Guay, who specialise in singing classical music and "Belcanto" in a popular format.

The culinary offering alone is reason enough to visit L’Ofician Gastrobar, simple dishes but prepared with great attention to detail, i.e the taste, most important of all. The menu is based on tapas and classic Spanish cuisine, updated to reflect seasonal and local ingredients, such as the patatas bravas, the montadito of salmon with algae bread supplied by the Triticum bakery and truffled honey, or the filipinos with white chocolate and foie gras, that combine sweet and savoury in a single snack. Another of the unmissable dishes is the risotto, perfectly seasoned and delicate flavours.
