This 14th C farm house surrounded by more than five hundred acres of land has five double rooms, a plunge pool, as well as accommodating Els secrets de la Toshiko, a restaurant serving traditional Japanese cuisine true to the Km 0 Slow Food philosophy, using the best local produce from the sea and land (has its own vegetable garden) of the Costa Brava.

In this region located within the Empordà Toshiko has rediscovered recipes from her mother and grandmother as well as her ex-husband, the famous film director Yoichi Sai, 'and claims to respect the yin and yang of all the dishes served here. The menu consists of 6 or 8 individual dishes with two desserts. Dishes include; Sembe (rice cake and soy), Edamame (small soy beans) and Soramame (boiled broad beans), Cucumber Salad, Wakame and homemade vinaigrettes, Karage and Teriyaki chicken, Vegetable and Seafood Tempura, Yakisoba noodles, Marinated Mackerel, Sushi, Okonomiyaki, Japanese pizza or Tuna Tartare. Open Wednesday to Sunday, dinner only (9 pm to 2 am, booking in advance recommended, call 626 0563 31). Mas Coquells also produce their own honey and olive oil.
