The restaurant belonging to the classic Grand Hotel Central is located on the vibrant Barcelona thoroughfare Via Laietana. Award winning chef Ramon Freixa who divides his time between Madrid and Barcelona is the creative force behind the cuisine at Ávalon (Ramon Freixa Madrid is the two Michelin star awarded restaurant also directed by Freixa). Available between Monday and Friday the head chef Sergi Fernandez (Freixa acting as consultant) has conceived the midday lunch menu as a rotating one, specially put together to reflect the autumn with its accompanying seasonal ingredients and health conscious choices that also reflects the traditional Catalan cuisine which is the corner stone of the culinary offering at Ávalon. The Gran Hotel Central will be presenting its latest addition a refurbished bar /dining area that will provide a new entrance from the hotel to the Ávalon before the end of the year. The three courses are regularly updated, with repeat visits in mind.
