Val d’Aran Gastronomy

in Barcelona: 05-02 / 15-02

11.02.24

For a fortnight 4 Barcelona restaurants will include 2 dishes (included in their off-menu or tasting menus) from their homonymous Val d’Aran restaurant. Each of the Barcelona restaurants chose their partner based on a shared culinary approach. The gastronomy of the Val d'Aran is for some an unknown quantity, especially anyone who has not had the opportunity to travel to this extraordinary valley of the Pyrenees. Home of traditional mountain style dishes, such as the renowned Aranese stew, it offers a fascinating gastronomic jorney that goes beyond popular food. Aranese haute cuisine chefs are a great discovery for any lover of the highest gastronomy, highlighting with each creation that reaches the plate all the tradition, the product and the representative recipe book of the area.

To bring those flavors of excellence closer to the Barcelona public, the first edition of the Val d'Aran Gastronomic Days arrives in Barcelona. It will be held from February 5 to 18, fifteen days for Barcelona diners to discover the flavors of the Val d'Aran, its tradition and its product through the dishes of four of its most representative haute cuisine chefs: Josep Gregorio (El Portalet), Albert Jubany (Eth Bistró), César Mory (Es Arraïtzes) and Marc Nus (Era Coquèla).
