Funghi di bosco
Autumn delight at Bosco de Lobos
This autumn the restaurants Bosco de Lobos Barcelona and Bosco de Lobos Madrid present a gastronomic offering that celebrates one of the star products of the season: mushrooms. Throughout the month of November, both of these related restaurants —one located in the COAM (Madrid) and the other on Avenida Diagonal (Barcelona)— will be offering a selection of dishes that, beyond paying tribute to this autumnal ingredient, are a genuine must-try.
Matteo Spinelli, the Italian chef responsible for the Bosco de Lobos menu, has created a series of dishes that enhance both the flavour and textures of mushrooms. Among the options are the Hot Carpaccio of boletus with guanciale, the Sautéed chanterelles with burrata, pine nuts, basil and pine leaves, the Fettuccine with chanterelles and parmesan and the Pizza with pumpkin, mozzarella, trumpets of death and bacon

Mushrooms are an exceptional product, both for their culinary versatility and their nutritional properties. They are a great source of vitamins B and E, antioxidants and minerals, they boost the immune system, combat tiredness and fatigue and are extremely beneficial for the skin.
Part of the magic and uniqueness of mushrooms lies in the fact that in order to get them you have to set out on the adventure of collecting them in the forests and you have to be sure to correctly identify the edible species because, although there are more than 3,000 varieties, not all of them can be eaten.

This mushroom season Bosco de Lobos wanted to be part of the magic with its concept of ‘eating in the middle of the forest’ brought to life, offering an experience in a setting that invites diners to share, combining traditional Italian cuisine with the sensation of being surrounded by nature, without leaving the city.
Tomás Tarruella, together with his team at Grupo Tragaluz, has managed to create a similar atmosphere in both restaurants (in Madrid and Barcelona): an open plan kitchen that forms the heart of the restaurant, large windows that flood the spaces with natural light and terraces with trees that are tinged with ochre and yellow colours of the autumn season.
