Jardins del Grec pop-up restaurant
One of the best (and easiest) ways to beat the summer heat without leaving Barcelona is an evening visit to Monjuïc. The Jardins del Grec is hosting the Farm to Table pop-up-restaurant once again this July within the main pavilion building perched on the highest point of the landscaped gardens. From here one of the city’s most iconic vistas, surrounded by the spires of art galleries and museums stretches into the distance. The wholesome gastronomic offering is perfectly matched with the stunning setting, a must-visit for lovers of alfresco dining and a languid sobremesa over long summer evenings.
This unique pop-up restaurant returns for its fourth edition, with two menu options that will be available throughout the Grec Festival (June 26 to July 29) with two timetable options, early evening and late evening. Flavourful dishes for sharing, featuring local produce and seasonal ingredients. Diners can choose between a vegan menu or a regular tasting menu, the main course of the former is the Pedrosillano chickpea tikka masala. While there’s a choice on the tasting menu between Brioche with Iberian pork belly, pickles, and organic fried potatoes (gluten-free) and Linguini with seafood cream, prawns, and Grana Padano.

Chefs Raquel Blasco and Marc Santamaria (of the nearby Casa Xica) created the project, supported by their friends and partners Joe Littenberg and Lena Widget (responsible for Eat Street and its renowned festivals What The Foc and Taco Fest). And although Farm to Table as a pop-up comes to an end on July 29th the project will continue in another format. Starting September, Casa Xica will take over its management and the establishment, which will be called Blasco, will be open to the public on a more permanent basis.

The adjacent kiosks within the gardens are also accessible, also managed and operated by Farm to Table, which offers a short menu of snacks and drinks from 8 p.m. until dawn. Simple tapas optrions such as croquettes (monkfish and shrimp or quinoa, coconut milk, and mushrooms), a truffle bikini, or the eggplant, arugula, and sun-dried tomato pesto muffin.

From 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM and from 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM for dinner. One seating available after 8:00 PM on days when the Grec doesn't have any programming.
