For anyone who has ever wondered what a sandwich bar directed by a Michelin star winning chef would be like then this new fast food restaurant Enoterra provides the answer. Not just a sandwich bar but also salads, purees, tapas and a selection of freshly made juices together with wines. Enoterra Fast Food is located in Plaza Universidad on the corner with Ronda de la Universidad, with a terrace on the side of the square that always seems to be bathed in sunlight. The gastronomic project is the brainchild of brothers Joaquim and Fran López (Villa Retiro de Terres de l’Ebre and Xerta Restaurant located in the Hotel Ohla Eixample). The idea is to become a franchise with two additional places planned for 2018.

For the López brothers fast food does not mean compromising on quality, in fact every last detail about this sandwich bar is thought through with guarantees regarding provenance, free range meats and eggs (sourced locally), organic vegetables and seasonal produce combined with quality breads. The philosophy here is based on the Mediterranean culture, respect for the environment and the land. Entoterra takes great care sourcing its products in order to offer balanced dishes, free from artificial additives, market fresh quality with the objective of offering food with easily recognizable ingredients from Catalonia.

    16 hot and cold sandwich options made using 5 varieties of breads made from sourdough that has passed through three fermentations, there is even a gluten-free option, that the customer can combine with different ingredients such as meats, vegetables and eggs, amongst others; A series of starters (two salads, two vegetable purees and an escalibada (seared vegetables served in a timbale); A selection of tapas (potatoes, Iberian ham, assorted cheeses, olives, anchovies); And desserts (fresh seasonal fruit, brownie with walnuts, orange sponge cake and ice cream).

    The wines are sourced from the Pagos de Híbera winery (D.O. Terra Alta) with a marked Mediterranean character.
