By Brian Gallagher 20.02.13

Chef's table (allowing diners to observe the preparation of their meals), a current trend that is gaining popularity within some of the city’s most renowned kitchens is brought one step further with this exclusive and innovative initiative put together by the Neri Hotel. Chef Benito Iranzo accompanies guests to the renowned nearby Boquería market, one of the most visited markets in the world where they will together choose the ingredients that the chef will later use to prepare their lunch.

An interactive ‘gastronomic gift’ that picks up on the current interest in the provenance of food, high-end gastronomy and the figures behind Barcelona’s culinary culture. Available to guests staying at the hotel as well as members of the general public, the price is 150 Euros per person.

  • The Boqueria is one of the most visited markets in the world

Benito Iranzo has worked in some of the world’s most prestigious kitchens with Sergi Arola, Martín Berasategui and Neichel before embarking on the Neri Hotel & Restaurante with its creative, organic and Mediterranean inspired cooking.
