Cresta Colorada

Mexican rotisserie, mezcals & natural wines

18.03.24

For lovers of tasty Mexican food, the Cresta Colorada restaurant and bar is a great option for savouring honest-to-goodness dishes accompanied by local wines and Agave spirits.  The brightly coloured interior design is impossible to miss and is one of the many options reflecting international cuisine on c/ Enric Granados. Located on the corner of c/ Corsega with an outdoor terrace in front. The restaurant combines roast chicken and grilled meat dishes together with a wide variety of starters.  Washed down with a unique selection of spirits and drinks that mix Mexican and Catalan references.

One of the owners Cayetano Zertuche who is originally from Guadalajara explains how the fashionable Mexican restaurants of San Francisco inspired Cresta Colorada. Another of the owners resides there and their idea was to pair the typical Mexican dishes famous throughout the world with unusual wines and spirits options. “Both natural wines and mezcals are characterized by small producers and distillers and craft techniques: a similar philosophy that inspired our Cresta Colorada's project,” explains Zertuche.
