Cheese Chef’s Challenge

Barcelona ♥ Cheese

07.03.25

The Cheese Chef’s Challenge is sponsored by Tête de Moine AOP, a competition that aims to find the best dish made with Tête de Moine AOP. Ten renowned Barcelona restaurants are paticipating (Casa Amàlia, Casa Xica, Contracorrent, Cruix, Fonda Pepa, Insolent, Mantis, My Fucking Restaurant, Palo Verde and Windsor) and the responsibility for choosing the winning dish falls on the shoulders of 8 professionals who make up the jury, including journalists, chefs, sommeliers and cheese experts. In addition to the recognition, whoever wins the Cheese Chef’s Challenge will have the opportunity to travel to Switzerland to experience the Cheese Awards, one of the most prestigious agri-food competitions internationally.

The various cheese inspired dishes reflect the creativity, enthusiasm and knowledge of the participants: they will be included in the suggestions, off-menu or in the tasting menus of the participating restaurants, between March 7th through 20th, available to diners who love Swiss cheese (and Tête de Moine in particular) and anyone else who wants to try it. The final will take place on March 27th (coinciding with World Cheese Day) at a gala dinner open to the public with a tasting menu made up of the 6 creations that made it to the final and Jon Cake's contribution to the sweet part, with his famous Tête de Moine AOP cheesecake.
