Culinary experience on La Rambla

CentOnze the restaurant belonging to the Le Méridien Barcelona introduces a new culinary menu conceived by chef Luis Ramos who has recently taken over as the head chef at the iconic hotel located on the Ramblas. The focus is on tasty food using fresh produce (mostly from the Boqueria market) with an international flavour that includes versions of favourite dishes from world cuisine, reflecting the cosmopolitan character of one of Barcelona’s most important hotels.

Ramos, who is Argentinean by birth trained with renowned local chefs such as Ferran Adrià and Carles Abellán. At CentOnze brings his own distinct style to the food which is evidenced with dishes such as the Fish & Chips with homemade lime mayonnaise, Prawn Pad thai served in dashi broth or the Pulled Pork with BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Unpretentious dishes with simple elaboration that put the emphasis on taste. Other stand-out dishes include the Loin of Pyrenees lamb with vanilla millefeuille and peach chutney or the Marinated salmon with frilled fruits garnish and yuzu. For diners with a sweet tooth the dessert menu will not disappoint, the presentation is spectacular with options that look as good as they taste put together by the pastry chef, Albert Amich.

    CentOnze located on Las Ramblas at number 111 (the intersection with Pintor Fortuny) is one of the best if not the best gastronomic restaurant remaining on the Ramblas. Its panoramic windows are the perfect vantage to contemplate the comings and goings of one of the world’s best loved streets. Open for breakfast from 7.00 am till 11.00 am and from 12.30 pm through till 11.00 pm.
