Calçotada at the Ninot Market
The Tierra Brava restaurant celebrates one of Catalonia's most popular gastronomic traditions.
Winter, between January and March, is the best time of year to enjoy one of Catalonia's most deeply rooted gastronomic traditions: the calçotada (long green onions grilled until black and tender, then wrapped in newspaper to stay hot). For this occasion, and true to its essence, the Tierra Brava restaurant—located inside the Mercat del Ninot, in the heart of the Eixample district—presents its special Calçotada menu, a proposal conceived to enjoy seasonal produce and grilled cuisine in an authentic and friendly atmosphere.

The calçotada menu offers a complete experience that includes ten calçots (from Valls), served with Romesco sauce, bread with tomato and garlic; a mixed grill of meats (beef, sausages, lamb ribs and bacon accompanied by artichokes and grilled potatoes), designed for two people; dessert and drinks. An ideal option to enjoy with a group of friends or as a couple.
The price of the menu is €40, available on Saturdays and Sundays in February and March while the land provides the produce. With the hospitality and attention to detail that characterise Somos Esencia restaurants (Tierra Brava, Brisa, Agua, Bar Bauma, Bar Fauna and GatoPardo), table service includes a complete hand and clothing hygiene kit for each diner.
