Bellavista del jardín del norte

brother thing; the Messis & the Igesias

02.08.18

Entering Bellavista is like entering an adult playground, structured like a village with a carnival atmosphere that starts with the flower installation at the entrance. Visitors can send a postcard from a post box at the front, play vintage video games, browse through old vinyl records, walk through an old barber shop before getting to the main dining space a double height area with festive light fittings and natural day light which overlooks a huge interior courtyard, typical of the Eixample, which has a pristine lawn.

Being associated with the renowned Messi it’s obvious that the gastronomy here is influenced by Argentinean culture, itself a mixture of Italian and Spanish cuisine, adapted to local tastes. To coincide with the restaurant’s two year anniversary a completely new menu has been introduced created by chef Miguel Estrada who worked for four years at another renowned restaurant by the very famous Adria brothers, Tickets.
