Xmas markets

MyBarrio, Market de Nadal@Fàbrica Lehmann, Canada Christmas Pop-Up Store, Eat Street

15.12.17

This weekend brings together many proposals to find original gifts for Christmas and have fun while we decide on this or that. In addition to the Festivalet and La Algodonera Market Lab, which we have already recommended, we will also include in our route:

MyBarrio. With Xmas House Vol. 6 will occupy the hotel Margot House on December 16th and 17th from midday to 8 pm. The organizers, who in each edition invite us to discover a special place in a different neighborhood, will install their pop-up on the principal floor of number 46 of Passeig de Gràcia, and promise "a very fine selection of independent projects of fashion, design and art of Barcelona". Every day a different line up of participants. Given the limited capacity they recommend previous registration here.

Market de Nadal of the Fàbrica Lehmann. The courtyard of the Fàbrica Lehmann (C. Consell de Cent, 159) will host on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 am to 8 pm, under a 25 m high chimney, the stalls of the creators who work in this old doll factory. Products? Fashion and accessories, jewelry, art, toys, crafts, ceramics, street food... Also, it will be an open day of their workshops, and the market program includes activities for the little ones on Saturday: at noon at the room SEP, architectural workshop; at 5 pm at the room H (Dinamo-Studio), Joguines d'Òptica exhibition, Teatre d'Ombres workshop and hot chocolate with Dinamo-Kids; and at 6 pm at the room D (Editorial Comanegra) presentation of the lullabies book A poc a poc with the author, Víctor Sunyol, illustrator Olga Capdevila, and live music.

Canada Christmas Pop-Up Store. On December 16th, from midday to 5 pm at the Box Nike in Barceloneta (C. Atlàntida, 78), and on the occasion of the presentation of the book documenting the making of Crème Caramel, Canada Editorial, the musical label of El Guincho, Bad Gyal -in the image-, El Último Vecino, Extraperlo, Svper, Clubz, Mujeres, Elsa de Alfonso and Los Prestigio… announces a Christmas pop-up store in which it will sell their albums and merchandising, as well as original drawings by Lope Serrano of the animations that appear in the video The Less I Know The Better of Tame Impala, and where music selected by some of the artists will sound.

And finally, the last Eat Street of the year, on Saturday from noon to 11 pm in La Nau Bostik (C. Ferran Turné, 11). The gastroparty returns with Cheesy Christmas, "the edition of the thousand and one cheeses" to try, buy and pair -with organic wines, Glühwein and craft beers-, international street food, tastings and a workshop to learn how to make vegan cheeses (tickets for activities on eatstreet.bigcartel.com).
