Bang & Olufsen, Samsung, Sony

By Silvia Micolau 18.10.17

With TV series, sports and news programmes becoming more popular than ever before we have reassessed this domestic piece of furniture. And given our propensity to sit in front of it for hours on end, it might as well be a well designed one at that.

Bang & Olufsen.

With BeoVision Horizon, a TV on wheels, home entertainment becomes mobile. Inspired by the first TV ever manufactured by the brand, made in 1952 known as "La Carretilla", it is available in two sizes (48 "and 40"), has a LED display monitor and, among other features, allows the image to automatically adjust to the ambient lighting conditions. On sale at B & O, Travessera de Gràcia 23.

    Samsung.

With the Serif model, a surround frame with or without legs, whose shape, if viewed in profile, resembles a capital letter I (in serif) designed by the Bouroullec brothers who have opted for the idea of television as a sideboard. The top serves as a shelf where the remote control, the mobile or small decorative objects can be stored. Available in three sizes (40 ", 32" and 24 ") and colour options (white, dark blue and red). For sale at Domestic Shop (Av. Diagonal, 419).

The OLED Bravia A1, with virtually no discernable surround frame, is flush-mounted on walls and equipped with the latest imaging technology (OLED panel: 8 million pixels with individual illumination, producing deep blacks and bright lights for beautiful realism) as well as sound, Acoustic Surface, that converts the screen itself into a speaker. Measures: 77", 65" and 55". For sale at FNAC.
