The Shopping Night Barcelona
Despite the growing influence of Black Friday on the shopping habits of local residents the beginning of December marks the most important shopping occasion for Barcelona shoppers with The Shopping Night Barcelona. Including more than 90 participants mostly located either on or near the city’s premier avenue, Paseo de Gracia, the event is about much more than merely shopping providing a showcase for local retail culture.
The sixth edition of The Shopping Night Barcelona 2015 will take place this Thursday, December 3rd, and promises to be a festival of fashion, food, culture, art, leisure and savoir faire. The leitmotif of this winter edition has been inspired by the 400th anniversary of the death of the English writer William Shakespeare, to be held in 2016 (the same year as the death of Miguel Cervantes). The organisers of The Shopping Night Barcelona have put together a journey through the life and work of this writer who many consider to be one of the most important literary figures of the English language and world literature.
