Piknic Electronik 2015

After four consecutive years of going strong it could be said that Piknic Electronik is a classic Sunday afternoon event in Barcelona, ​​and is without doubt one of the electronic music season’s with the best put together programmes.

As usual, the event takes place every Sunday up until September 20th, from 1 PM to 9 PM within the Jardins de Joan Brossa, Montjuic. The music non-stop, leaving the last hour between 9 and 10, christened the Sunset Hour, to wind down before leaving, to have a last drink or snack and browse the Market before going home.

    For this season we have several new features:

    Petit Piknic. This area which is normally a kids’ playground, sees the first of the performances, new DJs to the local scene are introduced here doing their thing from 1 till 4. To access this part of the precinct you can buy a ticket for as little as 5 Euros, and then if you feel like, get an upgrade to a 10 Euros more to enjoy international programming from 4 to 9 (for the adults) all children under 12 years are given free admission.

    International Line-Up: Remember that this year the season of concerts has some really great names: the always effective verging on poppy Tiga, Maceo Plex who are among the most sought-after and ranked DJs right now, Paco Osuna b2b Matthew Dear who are guaranteed to provide a techno tour-de-force, the mythical Detroit Derrick May, the combined talents of Rebolledo with Superpitcher called the Pachanga Boys, and many more, all thanks to the wonderful sound engineering skills and sound system of Funktion-One, who looked after the legendaryBerlin nightclub Berghain, among others.

    For this Sunday, July 19, the festival presents a selection of artists assembled by FACT Worldwide Events, including stars like Craig Richards, resident of Fabric London and former member of the duo Tyrant, and Robag Wruhme, who will be in charge of closing the evening with his powerful reverberating techno.
