The electronic music festivals are back

After a tragic year and a half for the category of large, medium and small musical events, the most important festivals are beginning to return to Barcelona, a city which boasted an almost inexhaustible menu within the wide world of electronic dance music.

Coinciding with the SónarCCCB festival, on the nights of Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of October, OFFSónar will celebrate the return of clubbing to the night of Barcelona with two extraordinary events that will bring together some of the most select DJs on the local scene with two true international superstars in the main cabin: Nina Kraviz and the infallible Laurent Garnier.

    Nina Kraviz, the famous Russian DJ, will perform on Friday 29th October, who has just debuted this year as a singer for her single “Skyscrapers”, which adds a new element of her voice to her already recognized talent as a DJ and producer. Nina will be accompanied by local talents NRDX and Anika Kunst on the main stage, as well as Shlomi Aber, Gaetano Parisio and Alisa Filatova who will be setting the score to the second stage.  

    On Saturday, October 30, it will be the turn of the DJ whose name is synonymous with Sónar: Laurent Garnier, who has participated in the festival since the very first edition. The veteran French DJ will celebrate his return to the dance floors at this OFFSónar by Night, as well as his entry into cinemas with the premiere of the documentary “Laurent Garnier Off the Record” at the In-Edit Festival. The supports of the night will come from the hand of one of the maximum references of Spanish electronic music, Angel Molina, the duo of DJs Shakti Alliance, while Mistery Affair, along with Josephine and Luna Martínez from the feminine collective Femnoise, will play in the second stage.

    Both nights will take place between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., on the covered stage of the Hivernacle in the Plaza Mayor of Poble Espanyol.

    Thanks to the current good epidemiological data of Catalonia, it will be allowed to dance without physical distancing. The use of a mask is mandatory, except when eating or drinking in designated areas. It is important to emphasize that entry will only be allowed by presenting the EU Covid Pass, or a very recent PCR or negative antigen test.
