Brunch In The City 2016
Autumn Edition
After a busy summer at the Jardins de Joan Brossa that drew thousands of revellers who were unfazed by the dizzying temperatures and high humidity of Barcelona’ summer evenings, Brunch In The City returns to the Pueblo Español, with four more unmissable dates that will delight lovers of underground electronic music. Undoubtedly we are dealing with a new wave of local dance music made on machines, with an fascinating proliferation of new parties, events and venues dedicated to house and techno; and an enthusiastic audience eager to hear new sounds, with sold-out dates on more than one occasion for Brunch In The Park, a total of 90,000 tickets over the entire summer season.
There’ll be four Sunday brunch dates this autumn, each with a different theme: kicking off on September 25th with a collection of duets DJS with Odd Parents, Pachanga Boys (or Rebolledo and Superpitcher) and Mind Against, a mixed bag with representatives from labels like Cómeme, Ellum and Kompakt, for example. On October 9th the line up is led by Jonny White and his project Art Department, which makes melodic house perfectly suited to the masses of today. On October 16th there’ll be a headliner picked by the Red Bull Academy, still to be confirmed, taking the local act Sau Poler as support. The last date will connected with Haloween: Saturday 29th October, with a special programme from between 4 pm and 4 am, with the somewhat eccentric Simian Mobilie Disco as the main attraction and Johnny Daze from Detroit as supporting act. Good times are guaranteed.
