An App from AMB for getting around the city

One of the main objectives and responsibilities of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) is to help raise awareness of the benefits of public transport, one of the most sustainable and safest ways of getting around Barcelona and its surrounds.

Against this background AMB aims to develop and improve existing services such as bus metropolità, NitBus (night bus), bicibox (network of secure bicycle parking) and l'Airbus (airport bus) as well as other objectives such as creating the recently launched mobile application AmbtempsBus.

    AmbstempsBus is a comprehensive service that covers the entire transport network of Barcelona’s metropolitan area including bus, metro, Tram, FGC and regional trains, which shows the location of all of the stops belonging to these transport systems and the actual arrival times of all bus lines and Trams. One of best features is its ability to detect the user's location and point out the nearest stops based on its integration with Google Maps.

    Amongst the latest updates offered by the application is included the real-time notification of any incident or delay happening over any of the networks. Say for example in the case of a line shutting down or being out of service due to construction works, the user sees this on the map and can plan an alternative route, saving time and unnecessary travel.

    Another new feature is the ability to send suggestions and complaints directly to AMB in order to help improve the overall services. The user can do this in two ways: through an e-mail or by completing the official complaint form which has been adapted for easy access from this App.

    AmbtempsBus service provides coverage for the following metropolitan municipalities: Badalona, Barcelona, Castelldefels, Cornellà de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Gava, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Montcada i Reixac, Montgat, El Prat de Llobregat, Sant Adria de Besos, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Sant Climent de Llobregat, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despi, Sant Just Desvern, Santa Coloma de Cervello Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Tiana and Viladecans. 

    AmbtempsBus APP is available for Android and IOS and can be downloaded for free from the respective app stores (Play Store and i App Store).
