VR Exhibition Fall 2021
Mataró, Barcelona
The autumn edition of the Galaxy Network festival, sponsored by a European network of virtual reality exhibitors launches this weekend in Mataró. It includes a dozen immersive experiences, some awarded internationally. Documentary, fiction, interactive work, 360 ° film, live action and animation. The programme includes, among others, 'African Space Makers' by The Nrb Bus Collective, a kind of 'choose your own adventure' in Nairobi, by artists, social entrepreneurs and skaters, and 'Vestige' by Aaron Bradbury, which uses the volumetric capture to get into the mind of the main protagonist.
Laboratori d'Art Visual i Sonor (LAVS), VRNRG (a company that develops virtual reality projects, and has licenses and exhibition franchises, for example VR Expanded, a section of the Venice Biennale dedicated to this universe have collaborated in the initiative creative effervescence) and Mataró Art Contemporani. The old Mataró Dam will host the conference, which will also take place simultaneously at the Espronceda Institute of Art and Culture (Barcelona), Diversion cinema (Issy-Les-Moulineaux, France), MEET Center and the Aperto di Ferrara Laboratory (Milan and Ferrara), INVR (Berlin), Less Media Group (Moscow) and VR Future (Istanbul).

And on Saturday 27 at 8 pm, with free admission, local DJ Marc Nürel will put the soundtrack to Robert Wiene's ‘Dr. Caligari’s Cabinet’, a landmark film in German expressionist cinema from the early twentieth century.
