Espai Mietis
MISONNY MEETS MIETIS is an exhibition of the work of seven artists in the new ESPAI MIETIS, created by this local made-in-Barcelona brand of bags and accessories accommodated within a new space that presents cultural proposals every month. The store-gallery opens this November with the work of seven international and local artists whose work establishes a dialogue with the brand's coveted garments and accessories: Albert Madaula, (Barcelona), Gastón Lisak (Barcelona), Samuel de Sagas ( Málaga), Alexia Rros (Girona), Marina Salazar (Barcelona), Paloma Correa (Uruguay), Aiam Maia (Uruguay) and Mariano Pascual (Argentina). Eight extremely modern looks in a colourful, beautiful space that invites visitors to spend time and enjoy the displays.
Espai Mietis is where the colourful universe of Mietis is conceived and created, a link between the brand and its clientele. Created in 2020, it’s a multifunctional space that aims to serve as a flagship store, showroom, brand studio, and customisation atelier. With this event, it debuts as a cultural space and exhibition venue for artists, both emerging and established, local and international, whose work or philosophy relates in one way or another to the brand. As a starting point and with the idea of transforming it into a recurring event, Mietis joins forces with Sonny Kirschner, creator of the MISONNY Art Festival, who, as curator, has organised this first exhibition.
